About the house

Mountain Lodge is our family holiday home and we have decided to rent it out to let other people enjoy the same great family holidays that we have enjoyed for the last 2 years.  We have 3 young children and understand how hard it is holidaying with children and the amount of things you need to take with you so we have furnished the house for our benefit and everything is available to use for anybody who stays at the house. Some of these things are: a high chair, travel cot, fitted stair gates, baby monitor, microwave sterilizer, hand blender, baby walker, books, toys, Playstation and DVD's for children of all ages. All electrical sockets have child proof fittings.

Our house is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy luxurious accommodation in a beautiful rural village, whilst being on the doorstep of some of the best skiing in Bulgaria. Borovets is only a 20 minute drive so close enough to drive to every day but by staying in a local village rather than the busy ski resort you can experience the real Bulgaria and mix with the local people in the village who are all very friendly. Only a few people in the village speak English but you have no worries about being understood and made to feel very welcome by everybody you come into contact with. One of the highlights of my daughters holiday is seeing the animals of the village roaming past the house, cows, donkeys, chickens, goats and horses etc, it is quite a site, you won't be disappointed. The village has 3 shops selling basic provisions, a post office and 2 café/bars and a New restuarant serving Traditional food all walking distance from the house. There are 4 other British home owners in the village.

The house is finished to a high western standard and provides generous, luxury accommodation for 10 people. The downstairs is open plan with the main feature being the large wood burning fire in the living room area making it a cosy retreat after a long day's skiing.  There at 4 sofas and a big beanbag which together are ample seating for 10. The spacious dining area has an extendable table which is big enough for 8/10 plus a high chair.

There is a fully fitted kitchen which includes a cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, sandwich toaster, and health grill. There is Satalite TV, DVD/Video with loads of videos/dvds, a Play Station 2 with lots of games and a snowboard simulator to practice those moves for the slopes!  Board games, books and toys for all ages are also in a big toy box in the living room.  There is also a cloakroom and a large drying room with a washing machine, heater, clothes airer and lots of coat hooks which is great space for drying wet skiing gear.There is also a burglar alarm, fire extinguisher and smoke detector at the property.

The chalet has been furnished to a very high standard. All furnishings are brand new – as is the house!  All bed linen (duvets) and towels are provided, as well as tea towels in the kitchen. There will be spares of everything in the cupboards in each bedroom if needed.  The rental price includes all central heating, electricity costs and logs.

Upstairs

• There are 5 bedrooms. 
• 2 large doubles which are both en-suite one with a bath and one with a shower. 
• 2 large twin rooms which share the family bathroom which has a shower. 
• There is also a smaller room with bunk beds which is ideal for children.  
• There is an independent entrance upstairs to the fully enclosed large balcony which has fantastic views over the mountains.

Outside

There is a large veranda leading to a large completely enclosed garden mostly laid to lawn with plenty of room for private parking. Garden furniture is also provided.
